Lori T. Candrian, Ms, LPC

A Person - Centered Counseling Approach to Support Personal Growth

Lori Candrian

Hello and welcome to my page. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I have been in the helping profession throughout my professional career. I am excited about the possibility of meeting you in Alvin, Texas for counseling services.

I started my career as a head resident for a girl’s dormitory at Texas A&M Commerce (formerly East Texas State University) after which I provided outpatient individual and group psychotherapy services for adults with chronic mental illness at the Gulf Coast Center. After 8 years of working at the Gulf Coast Center, I joined Devereux Texas Treatment Network providing inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy services for the adult and geriatric population.

I established my private counseling practice in 1997. I have always enjoyed helping pre-teens, teens, adults, families, and couples explore their own thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences to gain insight, new coping strategies, and confidence to create positive changes in their personal or professional lives. My goal has always been for these changes to allow each individual to have a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Some of the counseling techniques I utilize to meet individual needs include cognitive behavioral techniques, psychoeducation, bibliotherapy, trauma intervention, cognitive processing therapy for PTSD, and traditional talk therapy.

I am married with two adult children and one precious grandson. I am an active volunteer in my church and community. I enjoy making scrapbooks and traveling.

I would be happy to visit your club or organization and speak on a variety of mental health topics.

Notice to clients and prospective clients: Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
